Berwick increase ticket price for Rangers game

Another sellout crowd is expected at Shielfield when Rangers return in February

Another sellout crowd is expected at Shielfield when Rangers return in February

BERWICK Rangers have announced that tickets for the visit of Rangers in February have been increased in price to £15.

In a statement on the official website, the club says the increase comes as a result of the extra costs for policing and stewarding when the Glasgow giants visited Shielfield in August.

However, season ticket holders may purchase an additional ticket for £10.

The statement reads: “The club would like to inform fans that with regret, the ticket price has been increased to £15 for this fixture. There will be no concessionary admission.

“The cost of policing and stewarding August’s match at Shielfield Park amounted to more than £4 for every supporter at the game, and we feel we have to increase ticket prices to reflect this very substantial additional cost.

“We hope that fans will understand the reasons for this decision. Rangers FC have been fully liaised with on this and are fully understanding.”

The game is scheduled for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday February 23, but may change depending on the possibility of live TV coverage.
