Time running out for Bandits to find sponsor

BERWICK Bandits director John Anderson has warned once again that the club could not race this season unless a new major sponsor is found.

Although officials have been in talks with potential backers, Anderson is quick to stress that nothing has been agreed.

He said: “Yes, we are talking to interested parties, but we have no deal sorted out at this moment, and I can only reiterate previous comments made by us that it simply would not be economically viable for us to take to the track in 2013 without this proper funding in place.

“Time is catching up on us so I’d please ask anyone still interested in coming forward as a sponsor - or indeed with ideas and the like to get in touch as soon as possible to see what we can offer you in return.”

In the meantime, subject to new sponsorship being in place the Bandits have arranged their pre-season practice session for Saturday, March 23.

Riders are expected on track at 6.45pm and wrapping up at about 8.30pm. There will be catering in place at the stadium for fans on that night.
