BERWICK have re-signed Scott Smith.
And 'Scud' will make his debut for the Bandits in their home match against the Isle of Wight at Shielfield on Saturday.
Smith was a member of Berwick's successful 2005 side which finished runners-up in the Premier League.
This year he started out the season with Workington, but recently lost his place due to poor form.
However, he has invested in new equipment. He has bought two new engines which he will use for the first time this weekend.
And an added bonus for Peter Waite's side is that Smith will start out at reserve, with the in-form Tero Aarnio moving back into the main body of the team.
Waite said: "Hopefully 'Scud' can recapture his form. He is a born racer and that is what the fans like to see. He was always a big scorer around Shielfield in the past and I am confident he can be so again."
