NN Ladies
Bamburgh Castle and Rothbury have tied at the top of this league with 29.5 points each.
There will be a play off on a neutral course - Seahouses, on Wednesday, September 1 to decide the winner of the trophy.

Bamburgh
The flag competition and EWGA medal was won by Jane Little on 97-27-70 with Hilary Hulley the runner-up on 85-10-75.

Goswick
Goswick has received huge plaudits from both the English Golf Union and competitors alike for hosting the English County Boys Finals so superbly last week.
The course was at it's magnificent best throughout the three days of competition and a great credit to Geordie Thompson and his greens staff. Thanks also to Fiona and the clubhouse staff for pulling out all of the stops on the catering side. Busy was not the word!
Lynch Staunton No 4 was Ken Cooper's to win last Saturday until two shanks in succession at the last hole blew away any chance of anybody seeing a demonstration of his world famous victory roll! Winner with 39 points was Ivan Martin followed by Rudi McCulloch on 38 points and all on 37 points were Kevin Johnston, Alan D Rodger, Ken Cooper and Alan Potts.
A few hardy souls ventured out on Sunday in the re-arranged Lynch Staunton but conditions made it impossible for anyone to play golf. The competition has therefore been declared void and will be played at a later date.
Myles Wilson hit a blistering 73-4 nett 69 to win the Junior Edney Trophy. In second place was Jordan Turnbull 88-18-70 and third place went to Alan Paton with 77-5-72. Elliot Wilson grabbed fourth spot with another superb round of 73-0-73.
The Junior David Reid Trophy was played for on August 28 and the winners were: 1st Dylan Kerr 90-19-71, 2nd Elliot Wilson 75-0-75, 3rd Matthew Oliver 92-17-75 and 4th Andrew Terras 80-4-76
This Saturday (September 4) is the President's Trophy, a medal draw. Ladies Captain's Day follows at 1.30pm until 3.30pm

DOGLEG

Seahouses
The winner of the RNLI Spoon was Val Sim with a score of 85-14-71. Second was Jean Bladen on 106-20-86 and third Dorothy Smith on 124-36-88.

MFGC
THE seniors open medal winner Keith Wallace came in with a score of 85-19-66. Runner-up A Laidlaw had 76-9-67 and third spot went to B Collingworth on 80-11-69. Len Eyre had best gross on 75.
Colin Weatherhead topped Friday's round of the Safe Remedies 12-hole competition with 29 points, followed by Mark Watson on 28 and Gary Jackson on 27.
Mark Watson went one better by lifting the Crammond Cup on Saturday carding 89-24-65. Gary Freebairn was runner-up on 83-16-67 and Tom Davidson third on 85-18-67. Michael Biggins took the gross on 73.
Despite the foul weather there was a good turnout for the Captain's Prize on Sunday when there were prizes at every hole. Winner was Darren Meakin with a hard fought 37 points with Bill Blacklock second on 35 and Derek Pearson third on 34.
The ladies veteran winner was June Rae on 95-20-75 with Kathy Douglas the runner-up on 106-26-80.
