Large selection of beautiful cats are looking for a new home

Thank you to everyone who attended our Easter Fair. Over £700 was raised. A particular thanks to James Ford & Son who again donated hot cross buns for us to sell in our café and ex-Bark dogs Judy and Nel’s owner for the generous donation of Shetland sheep pet blankets which were so popular.

We have some beautiful cats in, many of them around two years old. Cosmos is a long haired ginger tabby who quite likes being groomed, which is good as he certainly will need regular grooming. He came in with Coco who is short haired and black, but will be better in separate homes. Hendrix is a stunning looking silver tabby. Liquorish is a striking black and white cat, very sleek. Tommy and Charlie are black and white and white and black and it would be preferable to keep these two as a pair. All of these cats are very affectionate, attentive and loving.

Max is an 18-month-old bichon frise. He has his problems but is an affectionate boy and is still young enough to respond well to training. He can not go to a home with other dogs or children. Eddie is a medium sized cross coming up to four years old. He is a good all round dog, although he does need a little bit of work on his lead training, but he makes up for this with excellent recall.

Holly, the nine year-old collie, is coming on leaps and bounds, literally. She is losing weight steadily and it has given her a new lease of life. She needs a special owner who will accept her collie ways and her tatty coat and just give her that extra TLC she has missed out on previously. Although she has lived with another dog she prefers to be on her own.

We have set up an Amazon wish list with a few home comforts for the animals in our care. If you would like to give something specifically to benefit a dog, cat or small furry or perhaps even a specific animal please check out our list at amazon.co.uk and search for Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels wish list. Thank you.

RentonSwan Vets are having a fundraising afternoon for Bark and the PDSA on Saturday, April 20, followed by a walk on the Sunday. Events such as these are so important in raising the extra funds needed to run the kennels.
