More affordable housing is planned for Wooler

Plans to build 22 affordable homes at The Martins in Wooler are likely to cost more than £2 million.

The scheme is currently being worked up by Northumberland County Council with formal plans expected to be lodged in the spring.

The council intends to borrow the funds and lend them to a housing association which will repay the money.

It is planned to build 14 two-bedroom houses and eight one-bedroom apartments on the site.
