Train buffs will be interested to know that Norham railway station has been put on the market for offers over £420,000.
The station was closed in 1965 but it comes complete with a time capsule of railway history. The signal box and ticket office are filled with amazing memorabilia, as the station until recently served as both a home to the last station master and a privately run railway museum.
Richard Landale of Sale & Partners said: “In parts, Norham appears to be still a working station, so much has been preserved. It is a testimony to the quality of the original building, as well as the love and care of Mr and Mrs Short, who bought the station when it closed, and restored it.”
