Around 90 people took the plunge into the freezing waters of the North Sea for the annual Boxing Day dip at Spittal.
Among those taking part was Mayor of Berwick, Isabel Hunter, who was raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and the Alzheimer’s Society.
“It was good, I thoroughly enjoyed it,” said Isabel. “It was cold as you entered the water but you soon got used to it.”
She raised about £340 thanks to a bucket collection on the prom with sponsor money still to follow.
“I’d like to thank everyone who took part, those who supported us and put their hands in their pockets, as well everyone who helped on the day including the RNLI and Coastguard.”
