The National Trust and Northumberland College at Kirkley Hall have teamed up to give visitors to Lindisfarne Castle a festive treat.
The castle is going to be acting as something of a blank canvas to enable four floristry students to hone their skills as part of an assessment.
The project will dress the Ship Room, Dining Room and Long Gallery in a traditional style for Christmas, with the addition of the Christmas tree in the entrance hall- and the hard work of the students can be enjoyed by visitors over the next few weeks.
Claire Ashby, visitor experience manager for the Northumberland coast says: “It’s fantastic to be able to work in partnership with Northumberland College on the Christmas Decoration Project – it’s a beautiful venue for the students to be able to showcase their work.”
The castle is open from 10am-3pm on December 20-22.
