Ross MacNeil, the wood carver who created the life-size nativity scene for Bamburgh, has had his tools stolen.

Three saws and all of his carving tools were taken when his van was broken into on Monday night while he was working in the Bradford area.

Ironically, Ross was commissioned to do the Bamburgh work when publicity about the theft of an owl he had carved drew the attention of a parish councillor.
