Coldstream Football Club’s work to create an enclosed ground at Home Park is under way.
The frame of an eight-foot high perimeter fence, which will occupy two sides of the pitch, has been erected.
Panels are expected to be added soon.
The club is upgrading its facilities to obtain a license and retain its Scottish Football Association membership.
The changes, however, caused controversy in the town, with some residents raising fears that the fence would spoil the look of what is a public park.
