Woman flown to hospital

A woman was airlifted to hospital after injuring both legs in a fall at Swinhoe, near Beadnell, on Sunday evening around 6.15pm.

The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service who requested the help of the Great North Air Ambulance.

She was flown to Newcastle RVI. Her injuries were not life-threatening and she was described as stable.
