Plans for an agricultural implement and crop store on land south west of Waren House Hotel, near Bamburgh, are being recommended for council approval.
Officers at Northumberland County Council believe the application from Maurice Birkett should get the green light despite two objections, one from the council’s own conservation officer and another from the AONB team.
Planning officer Hannah Brumfitt said: “The proposal would have a limited impact on the setting and significance of the Grade II listed Waren House Hotel.
“Furthermore, whilst it is accepted that the building is isolated in the open countryside with no connecting farmhouse or other ancillary building, sufficient justification as to the need for the building in association with the planned agricultural activity has been provided by the applicant.”
A decision will be taken by the north area committee on Thursday.
