Prior Park First School pupils were treated to a sports lesson with a difference from local sprinter Cameron Tindle.
Pupils in Class 4 wrote letters asking Cameron, a Berwick Academy pupil himself, to come and give them a talk about running, and he duly obliged.
He turned up at his old school with starting blocks to show the youngsters how to make the perfect start, illustrating the technique that contributes to his speed.
Cameron, who trains with the Edinburgh Athletic Club, also spoke to Class 4 about the importance of nutrition, diet and a healthy lifestyle. He later showed his young fans the rewards of such an approach, letting the pupils see his trophy collection.
