Coldstream's annual Armed Forces Day Parade of Colours commemorates the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I.

It is held on Armed Forces Day.

The colours and standards of several Royal British Legion Branches from both sides of the border were on display, including regimental associations, youth organisations, community groups and bikers from the RBLS Riders Branch, War Torn Troops Remembered (WTTR) and the Men of War (FCMCC).

Members of various local youth organisations – BP Scouts, Army Cadets and Air Training Corps – also took a leading roll.

This year’s parade raised funds for Combat Stress and the Army Benevolent Fund.

Armed Forces Day is the annual, UK wide campaign that allows everyone to show their support for the men and women of the Armed Forces past and present, including currently serving troops, service families, reservists, veterans and cadets.
