Tweedmouth Feast organisers are calling on local businesses, societies, clubs and individuals for entries in the Float Parade on Sunday, July 20.
“We have several entries already with some great ideas but are always looking for more participants,” said Jim Herbert, chair of the Tweedmouth Feast committee. “It’s a great way to celebrate our community and attract attention to your business or society. It’s so popular that the former staff of the Brown Bear are still participating, though under what name, I have no idea!
“And people shouldn’t think that it’s difficult to do. Some of my favourite entries in the past have been much smaller and didn’t involve lorries. Who could forget Nancy Steele and Iris Hannah who got on their bikes dressed as characters from ‘Call The Midwife’? All it needs it enthusiasm and a bit of imagination.”
