Rescuers have called off the search for a 49 year old diver who went missing off St Abbs on Sunday.
The RNLI say that conditions at sea mean that searching would be difficult as visibility under the water is very poor and the sea is very rough.
The diver was with a group on an Eyemouth boat who travelled to the popular diving spot of St Abbs Head.
He went missing when his ‘buddy diver’ lost contact with him underwater and surfaced, but the diver was not seen.
If he’s not found the lifeboat service say that they will begin a search of local beaches again in a few days.
