Rededication at Seahouses church

Seahouses Methodist Church rededication service

Seahouses Methodist Church rededication service

Seahouses Methodist Church was rededicated on Saturday by Britain’s top Methodist, the Rev Ruth Gee, President of the Methodist Conference.

After extensive renovations, including a new front entrance, a beautiful stain glass window, new heating and insulation, and new audio-visual system, the church was crowded with local Methodists and well-wishers for a service conducted by Rev Pauline Fellows, who has worked tirelessly to achieve the chuirch’s modernisation.

Girls Brigade members delighted everybody with their singing and a special cake was cut by 87-year-old retired fisherman George Dawson, who was the first person to be baptised in the church when it opened in 1926.
