Eyemouth’s John Black, originally from Berwick, has been recognised for his 34 years of service to the Army Reserve (TA).

John, pictured at his retirement celebration, served for the 6th battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers,168 Pioneer Regiment and the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.

He served in many countries, including Iraq and Germany.

The Fusiliers are now back in Berwick Drill Hall on a Tuesday night and are recruiting.
