The new-look management team of Berwick’s Portas fund has been announced.
John Moses, Barry Alison and John Haswell will represent the town’s business interests, with Ian Timmins, Gayle Skelly and Helen Rutherford from the wider community.
They will join town councillors John Robertson, Isabel Hunter and Phil Elliot.
The management team will now assess any funding applications and see if they meet the Portas criteria of improving the built environment or tourism.
The town council was given the lead management role following the removal of the town team by Northumberland County Council and Arch last September.
The new management team will come under the auspices of the environment and regeneration committee.
Spending under £5,000 will be decided by the management group with sums over that figure to be approved by the environment and regeneration committee, the full council and Arch.
