Police investigate Allan Brothers burglary

Police are appealing for information after a burglary at Allan Brothers in Tweedmouth.

It happened between 2.30pm on Friday, February 14, and 8am on Monday, February 17, when 300 lead sash window weights were stolen from a secure compound at the timber merchants based at Ord Road.

The property stolen during the burglary is worth thousands of pounds.

The theft of the large amounts of weights would have taken some time and would have required a vehicle to remove the property.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the burglary, or the whereabouts of the stolen property, to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 470 17/02/14, Or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
