Mielle owner Louise Marsden decided to mark the first anniversary of the patisserie’s opening on West Street with a commemoration of Bastille Day.

The shop was decorated with French flags and the staff were suitably dressed. Free shots of Pernod or Calvados were given to customers, who enjoyed sampling not only a range of cakes and filled baguettes, but also crepes suzette which were made specially for the day.
