Do Shaw presents Neil Craig with the Berwick Civic Society Award

Do Shaw has stepped down after six years as chairman of Berwick Civic Society. She was warmly thanked for her great contribution to many areas of the society’s work.

Zoreen Hill has been elected as the new chairman.

Mrs Shaw was warmly thanked for her great contribution to many areas of the Society’s work and received a presentation of an item from The Tower House Pottery in appreciation. Chris Shaw was also thanked for his support, and particularly for editing and collating the newsletter.

Office Bearers elected at the meeting; Chairman - Zoreen Hill; Vice-Chairman & Membership Secretary - Catherine Seymour; Hon. Secretary - Julia Butler; Hon. Treasurer - Marion Mead.

The next meeting in the Society’s calendar of events for 2014/2015 will take place on Wednesday, May 14 at 7.30pm in The Parish Centre. Paul Brayson of The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be giving a brief update on progress with the Berwick Infirmary redevelopment followed by a question and answer session assisted by Linda Pepper, a Trustee.

All are welcome. Entrance is free for members and £2 for non-members. Refreshments will be available.
