There are two new exhibitions in the old Bakery buildings at Heatherslaw - the first, by local archaeological group TillVAS, could be called ‘Skirmish & War’ as it focusses on border warfare and in particular the stories of local men who served in WWI. It’s open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday plus Bank Holiday Sundays and Mondays until late September.

The second, which is open daily until July 31, is a wildlife, landscape and military photography exhibition by two well-known local photographers, Jim Gibson and Ron McCombe. Admission to both exhibitions is free.
