Holy Island’s new village hall will be known as the Crossman Hall in recognition of the support given by Lady Rose to the scheme.
Trustees were awarded £500,000 from the Big Lottery Fund last year. It is hoped the contractor will be on site in May.
Almost £200,000 is still needed to complete work on this vital village project.
David O’Connor, hall trustee, said: “The trustees at their last meeting decided unanimously that the support and encouragement received from Lady Rose for the scheme should be recognised, so the new building will be known as the Crossman Hall.”
All unwanted books, puzzles, games etc. can be left at The Oasis Cafe where they will be sold in aid of the hall appeal.
