Holy Island visitor attraction Window On Wild Lindisfarne, designed by Icosis Architects, is one of nine buildings in the North East shortlisted for a 2014 RIBA North East Award by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

The awards recognise good, innovative architecture within the region.

The shortlisted buildings will be assessed by a regional jury with the winners announced on the evening of Friday, May 2V at the Stephenson Works.

Regional winners will then be considered for a highly-coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence on a national platform, to be announced later this year.

The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will be drawn from the RIBA National Award winning buildings.
