Help clean up the beach at Holy Island

Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve staff are looking for volunteers to help with a beach clean this Friday, May 2, between 11am and 1pm.

Volunteers will join Reserve staff to help keep the shores of Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve clean and safe for the diverse wildlife there.

While wandering along the beautiful beach and rocky shore of the island collecting tidal debris, the Reserve team will tell people more about the NNR and why beach cleans are a vital part of their work.

Litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided. Volunteers are advised to wear sturdy footwear and be prepared for all weather, and to bring a snack and a drink. Children must be accompanied and dogs on short leads are welcome.

Meet at the Snook Car Park, on the left down a track as you travel on the Causeway to the village.
