Grove pub helps Berwick RNLI

Have your say

BERWICK lifeboat station has been presented with a cheque for £1,000 thanks to the efforts of staff and customers of The Grove pub in Tweedmouth.

Landlady Jenna Kerr and fundraiser Wendy Thomson chose Berwick RNLI as the pub’s charity for the year.

Jenna said: “We pick a local charity every year which is beneficial to everyone and this year we chose Berwick RNLI.”

Wendy added: “We know the RNLI is not Government funded and that it is a voluntary charity that relies on people raising funds to keep saving lives at sea. The locals of the pub have been fantastic in helping raise the money; we have had several events, including a pub crawl, race night, domino cards and a raffle.”
