UNION Brae Surgery in Tweedmouth has revealed a 57 per cent increase in GP appointments over the past two years.

A recent audit confirmed that between 2010 and 2012 the number of slots to see a doctor rose from 19,836 to 31,324.

Reasons include extra GP surgery time because there is no contract to provide minor surgery at the infirmary.
