Final preparations are being made for this month’s Party on the Parade, which will see the popular event take place over two days for the first time.
Supported by Northumberland County Council and Simpsons Malt, and organised by Berwick Rotary Club and the North Northumberland fundraising group for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, the festivities will take place outside the Barracks on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25.
The event kicks off with Talent on the Parade and Ceilidh on the Parade (£6 including food) on the Saturday, followed by the traditional tea and beer tent, children’s entertainment and local stalls on the Sunday, followed by a songs of praise.
Richard Simpson, vice chair at Simpsons Malt, said: “We are delighted to be able to support such an important community event for Berwick, which brings people together.”
