A cut-off post on Seahouses’ Main Street is a danger to pedestrians.

That is the view of North Sunderland Parish Council chair Geoffrey Stewart, who highlighted the risks posed the post at April’s parish meeting.

He told members that when the pavement is busy the stump, situated outside Johnny’s Amusements, can not be seen, and said people have tripped over it.

He said those exiting the amusements building could fall over it and into the road.

“We have asked for it to be removed and it’s not been done,” he said. “We should write again because it’s in a dangerous position.”
