A special ‘People of Berwick’ hoarding around the works site at the former Elizabethan pub has been unveiled.

Gentoo Construction, who are building a social housing scheme for the elderly on behalf of Four Housing Group, have been working with local schools and community groups on the project. St Mary’s First School pupils Sean Capes (8), Scott Elliot (9) and Erin Hook (8) got to see how their art work has been incorporated in the hoarding on Thursday.

The project has entered the ‘Ivor Goodsite’ competition designed to make children aware of the dangers of construction sites.
