Have your say

SADLY we had hoped to have a few dog kennels spare to cope with emergencies over the holiday period but have already had those filled with dogs who urgently needed to come in.

All the kittens are now gone and a couple of the younger cats so our cattery will give us a bit of room for manoeuvre so one way or the other we’ll manage.

We are here to help and will always try our best to. However if you don’t contact us we can’t help. Although that appears obvious this was not the case for the owner of two cats that joined us last week. They had been put in a heavy plastic Morrisons bag, with the handles tied and left outside a shop in Alnwick. Why? Who knows but they didn’t deserve to be dumped like that on a very cold night. Who knows what might have happened, what panic they felt?

Certainly the older, and probably mum, is very unsettled and in need of reassurance. The younger one although a bit wary at first is now more settled. They are both tabbies with the younger being a more golden colour. We have named them Molly and Dolly. Molly, mum, is probably round four or five years and Dolly, the daughter, is four or five months. If you know who the owner is please ask them to contact us we really would like to know a bit more information about the pair of them.

Of course the kennels will be manned all over the Christmas and New Year period but we won’t be rehoming until after the new year now. If you think the new year might be the time to get a new dog we probably have one or two that might be suitable.

Taz has just joined us and is a large cross, just a year old and said to have a super nature. Sadly we didn’t get our wish this year and both Kim and Todd are still with us. Next year, maybe?
