The views of fishermen and others on the quality of marine environments from the Tweed to the Tyne are wanted by the Northumberland Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Authority (NIFCA).
A draft Environmental Report is now available for consultation.
CEO Mike Hardy said: “NIFCA’s aim is to ensure sustainable exploitation of sea fisheries resources, balancing social and economic benefits with the need to protect the marine environment. This draft report is a major step in helping us achieve that aim. We would like to receive the views of everyone associated with the marine environment to ensure we continue to achieve the balance between exploitation and conservation.”
The public have until Friday, September 29 to submit their views.
A copy of the draft report can be seen at www.nifca.gov.uk.
