The annual Bush Tucker Trial was held at the Salmon Inn, Belford on Sunday night between a team of locals and American archaeological students.
The students are all part of the Bamburgh research project excavating around the castle and other historical sites in the north of the county.
Delights on offer included pigs ears, grasshoppers and meal worms.
Our picture shows, from left to right: Scott Grieve (captain Belford team), David and Michelle Henderson (Mine Hosts at The Salmon), Niel Lythe (Captain Archaeologists team) and Andy Grant, M.C. for the evening.
