RSPB to hold information event

THE RSPB is currently undertaking a Farmland Bird Advisory project in the north east thanks to funding and partnership working with Natural England, Northumberland National Park, Northumberland Coast AONB and Northumberland Coast and Lowland LEADER.

The project is managed by Janet Fairclough, who is working hard providing advice to farmers within the project area about how they can maximise the benefit of their farm for wildlife, particularly through agri-environment schemes.

Janet has organised an information event at Hunting Hall Farm near Beal on Sunday, February 24. The event itinerary will include a demonstration of excellent agri-environment options and interesting talks from the project partners and other conservation organisations.

The guest list will include farmers, volunteers and local wildlife group members and it will also provide an opportunity to learn more about conservation work currently being undertaken in the region and to share experiences.
