Ian Moore

IAN Moore, a prominent businessman and community figure in Berwick, has died. He was 83.

Highly respected throughout the town, Mr Moore was owner of the old Parks shoe shop on Hide Hill.

He was a former president and one of the longest-serving members of Berwick Rotary Club. He was also a former chairman of Berwick RNLI. In his younger days he was a cyclist and a runner, before becoming a keen mountaineer.

David Conway, a close friend since the 1970s, said: “Ian lived life to the full. He was a businessman, community man and a family man. He had a multi-faceted life and he will be missed.”
