Councillor calls for new safety measures on A697

FRESH concerns have been raised about the safety of the A697 in Northumberland following a number of serious accidents in recent months.

“We have some grave concerns about the A697 and are aware of the need to improve safety on it,” he told members of the communities and place overview and scrutiny committee.

He also called for the number of mobile camera sites in Northumberland to be increased.
