Berwick’s Party on the Parade looks set to become an annual spring fixture on the calendar.
Berwick Rotary Club and and the local branch of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research are keen to team up again next May.
Rotary club member Michael Richardson said: “We hope it can be the start of a bigger May Week celebration and believe it would help to promote the town at the beginning of the festival season..”
He thanked Berwick Town Council for its financial assistance in helping to deliver this year’s event.
“It could not have happened without the council’s financial support,” he said.
“It was a very successful event that did a good job of raising awareness of Leukaemia and Lymphoma research whilst raising money for the charity too,” he added.
He hoped the council would support the event next year.
Coun Hazel Bettison said: “It was a fabulous day for both locals and holidaymakers.”
