Belford’s annual duck race took place on Saturday, with over 160 ducks taking part.
“The race is part of the village show activities,” said organisers Reg Carruthers and Steve Newman.
“We would like to thank everyone who bought ducks and those who came down to help us catch them at the finish line, especially the two young ladies who were staying at Blue Bell caravan park in the village.
“If you’re not careful the ducks can rush down the burn and end up in the North Sea!”
Sue Dyer won the meal for two at the Blue Bell Hotel and Mr Werner, a tourist from Lincolnshire, won the two fish suppers donated by the village’s John Dory Fish and Chip shop.
“This is great” he said. “We had planned to go the fish shop tonight before driving back home!”

Capturing all 160 ducks is quite a task, but they managed it. Left to right are: Lauren Hooker, Hanna Tweddle, Doug Renton, Steve Newman, Steve White, Reg Carruthers and Martin Lefevre.
