A Berwick-based migrant support organisation has celebrated its fifth anniversary.
The Berwick Migrant Support Group was set up in 2008 help migrants become part of the community.
It provides language support, advice and information. It also organizes social and cultural events such as local history tours.
A celebration event was held last Saturday at St Cuthbert’s Parish Centre to mark the anniversary.
The event was attended by the Mayor, Isabel Hunter, and Consort, Forbes Grant, along with representatives from the Berwick CAB, Northumbria Police, the Polish Saturday School and the group’s website sponsor from Kreative Technology.
The guests were treated to food from Poland, Portugal, Brazil, Romania, Hungary & Lithuania provided by the volunteers of the support group & their families.
