A family party in the park was staged for the annual Prior Park fun day, which was attended by 1000 people who had fun in the sun.
Organised by the Prior Parks Residents Association and opened by the Civic Party, party goers enjoyed arts and crafts, face painting, birds of prey, petting zoo, fair ground rides, stalls, old fashioned community games and entertainments on the stage.
Residents Association chair Bernadette McDonald said: “This was an exceptionally fantastic family day, it was great to see all the families out together enjoying themselves. This is what community spirit is all about.”
She added: “The day would not have been possible if it was not for all the hard work of Prior Park Residents Association and the Prior Wallaz 4214 Crew, who are an asset to their community.
“We can’t wait for 2014, our fifth birthday and the Wallaz first birthday. It will be even bigger and better!”
