Family maltsters Simpsons Malt will feature at the Royal Highland Show’s Grain to Glass initiative, illustrating links between growers, maltsters, brewers and distillers.
From June 19-22 at The Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, Simpsons will showcase the stages of production, from seed to barley to malt and finally the brewing and distilling. Visitors will be able to taste the end result from a number of exhibits in Food Hall.
The initiative will recognise the UK’s farming, distilling and brewing expertise.
Simpsons Malt and its agricultural merchanting division, McCreath Simpson & Prentice, will provide showgoers with insights into what is involved from the initial seed to the production of the malt.
