Belford’s newsagents has a new owner this week.
Born and bred local girl Shona Dixon took over the reins on Sunday morning and is delighted at all the well wishes she has received from the village.
“I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and best wishes.” she says.
“We have made a few changes and there is yet more to come but we will still be selling all the traditional stock associated with newsagents including stationery etc. but we’ll also be doing hot pies and pasties and keeping up the dry cleaning service.”
Early customers were treated to hot chocolate croissants and orange juice to mark the occasion!
