Top 100 accolade for housing association
BHA's chief executive Helen Forsyth at the Sunday Times awards in London
STAFF at Berwickshire Housing Association (BHA) have been celebrating after making the Sunday Times Top 100 not-for-profit organisations list for the first time.
BHA, which runs Seton Hall Care Home in Tweedmouth, was ranked 52nd in the list and a number of employees travelled to London for an award ceremony at Battersea Evolution.
“We are all thrilled and excited to have done so well,” said Helen Forsyth, BHA’s chief executive. “Staff are already talking about what we could do to be even better next time!”
BHA, which provides social housing in Duns, Coldstream and Eyemouth through its subsidiary, Seton Care, was awarded a One-To-Watch status in 2012 by Best Companies, the organisation responsible for the awards.
Staff completed an anonymous questionnaire to say how they felt about their employer and how their employer interacts with the local community and environment.
The results were compared with 896 other not-for-profit organisations across the UK.
