New restaurant opens in Belford

Belford has new eating venue. Michelle Renwick and Susannah-McDonald Brown both of whom have family connections in the village are opening the S&M Foods restaurant in The Salmon Inn on Tuesday November 13th. Michelle, Susannah and landlady Michelle Henderson from the Salmon Inn.

TWO Belford women have opened the village’s newest restaurant.

Michelle Renwick and Susannah-McDonald Brown, both of whom have family connections to the village, opened their S&M Foods restaurant in The Salmon Inn at the south end of the High Street on November 13.

And the girls know just what is required to tempt local diners. “We will be serving traditional British pub food” said the pair.

“Both of us have experience in the catering trade and we are also planning a take away menu with items such as pizzas, chips, garlic mushrooms etc.”

The opening marks the latest diversification for The Salmon Inn following its recent renovations: as well as the new restaurant, diners can be serenaded by guitarists, entertained by magicians or even hypnotised!

Over the winter Michelle and Susannah will be opening on weekends from 12 noon until 9pm, and between 5pm –9 pm on weekends.

S&M has already earned rave reviews, hosting special occasions like 21st birthday parties as they start the countdown to Christmas.
