BREAMISH Valley Cottages in Branton has recently built five brand new luxury self-catering holiday cottages at a cost of over £600,000 to offer tourists a wider range of luxury accommodation in the region.

The cottages, at the mouth of the valley below Ingram, are ideally placed for walking enthusiasts with the Cheviot Hills right on the doorstep. Facilities include a games room, tennis court, putting green, adventure playground, spa and heated swimming pool

Peter Moralee, proprietor at Breamish Valley Cottages says: “It’s been a tough year for the holiday cottage industry. The bad weather and the struggling economy have meant that fewer people have holidayed in 2012.

“However, we believe this will change and have built five new holiday cottages to provide visitors to Northumberland with somewhere spacious, luxurious and comfortable to stay.”

“Holidaymakers’ needs are evolving. Flat screen TVs, iPod docks, space and luxury are a must. All of our new cottages have all the latest mod cons, wood-burning stoves, fully-equipped kitchens, plenty of bathrooms and great care has been taken when choosing the furniture and furnishings.”
