Jayne Watson and Susie Nielson have put hours of training into the Macmillan Trekathon along Hadrians Wall. 26 miles from Lannercost to Brampton.

Both farmers wives are accustomed to walking, but rather than around the fields behind cows and sheep they will endured the upper sections of Hadrians Wall and raised funds for a charity close to both of their families.

“I doubt there are many families that have not been affected by this terrible disease in one way or another,” said Susie

Jayne added: “I know just what tremendous support Macmillan can give to a family when it matters most.”
