Drugs accused committed to crown court

EIGHT people arrested during a drugs crackdown in Berwick have been committed to appear at Newcastle Crown Court.
All eight appeared on bail or from custody at Berwick Magistrates Court on Thursday.
They have all been instructed to appear for their initial hearings at the crown court on September 24.
Those committed were:
Tracey Ross, 41, of Seaview, in Highf
ields, who is charged with supplying heroin;
Kathleen Young, 30, of West End, Tweedmouth, who is charged with supplying heroin and possession of a class C drug;
Allan Bloomfield, 23, of Crispin Road, Highfields, who is charged with three offences of possesion of a class C drug and one of offering to supply;
John Thompson, 35, of Eastcliffe, Spittal, who is charged with offering to supply heroin;
John Betteridge, 36, of Farne Road, Spittal, who is charged with three offences of supplying heroin, one of growing cannabis, possession of cannabis and one charge of possession with intent to supply heroin;
Ian Chowles, 19, of West End, Tweedmouth, who is charged with two offences of supplying heroin, one of possession of cannabis, one of possession of a class C drug and one of possession of a class A drug (methodone);
Ian Dougal, 28, of Highcliffe, Spittal, who is charged with three offences of supplying heroin and three offences of possession;
Janine Dougal - nee Mullins - 30, also of Highcliffe, who is charged with four offences of supplying heroin and three of possession.
Chowles, Dougal and Dougal were all remanded in custody, whilst Ross, Young, Bloomfield, Thompson and betteridge were all released on bail.
