WOOLER kids in the 1940s decided to take on Hitler themselves which gave the authorities a bit of a headache - and provided the starting point for Wooler U3A's latest musical drama, 'Wooler at War.'
Cast members have been getting into the mood by visiting the town's pillbox – accompanied by the local policeman, of course.
The play is being performed on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 at 7.30pm in Glendale Middle School, Brewery Road. Tickets are £3 and £2 for concessions and can be bought at Brand's newsagent, on Wooler High Street or by ringing (01668) 281219.
